Microsoft Teams primarily competes with the similar service slack, offering workspace chat and videoconferencing, file storage, and application integration. It is available for Android, iOS, Microsoft Windows OS, MacOS, and Linux OS based devices.

However, several users reported they faced Microsoft Teams sign in error on their Windows 10/11 computer when they tried to sign-in/login into Microsoft Teams account. This issue indicates you are unable to sign-in into your Microsoft Teams account in Microsoft Teams Client app/ Microsoft Teams web app in Windows computer for some reasons. Method 2: Restart your computer

Sometime, this type of issue is occurred due to some temporary issue in Windows computer and Microsoft Teams app. You can fix the temporary issue just by restarting your computer and then re-launch Microsoft Teams, and check if the issue is resolved.

Method 3: Close Microsoft Teams app/process from Task Manager

Step 1: Press ‘CTRL + SHIFT + ESC’ keys on keyboard to open ‘Task Manager’

Step 2: Under ‘Processes’ tab, select ‘Microsoft Teams’ process and click ‘End Task’ button to close it.

Step 3: Once done, restart your computer and re-launch Microsoft Teams, and check if you can sign-in into Microsoft Teams account without any issue.

Method 4: Check if Microsoft Teams server is up and running

This issue can occurred due to some issue with Microsoft Teams server. You should make sure Microsoft Teams server is up and running. You can check Microsoft Teams status via ‘DownDetector’ website and check if the server is working fine. If you investigate there is some issue with Microsoft Teams server, you will need to wait until the server issue is resolved.

Method 5: Repair Microsoft Teams app

Step 1: Open ‘Settings’ app in Windows PC and go to ‘Apps > Apps & Features’

Step 2: Find and select ‘Microsoft Teams’, and click ‘Advanced Options’ and click ‘Repair’ and confirm repairing. Once finished, restart Microsoft Teams and check if the issue is resoved.

Method 6: Clear Microsoft Teams app cache

Step 1: Close ‘Microsoft Teams’ app and press ‘Windows + R’ keys on keyboard, type ‘%appdata%MicrosoftTeams’ in ‘Run’ window and hit ‘Ok’ button

Step 2: The command will open the File Explorer with Microsoft Teams files

Step 3: Select all folders and files, and remove them from computer. Once done, restart your computer and retry signing-in and check if it works.

Method 7: Access Microsoft Teams from website

If the issue is still persist with Microsoft Teams app, and then you can try accessing Microsoft Teams website in your browser like Google Chrome and check if you can sign-in into you Microsoft Teams account without any issue.

Method 8: Uninstall Microsoft Teams app

Another possible way to fix the issue is to uninstall Microsoft Teams completely and then reinstall it in computer.

Step 1: Open ‘Settings’ in Windows PC via Windows Search Box and go to ‘Apps > Apps & Features’

Step 2: Find and select ‘Microsoft Teams’, and click ‘Uninstall’ to uninstall it and after that, restart your computer

Step 3: After restart, download and install latest version of Microsoft Teams app from Microsoft Store in computer and once installed, launch Microsoft Teams and check if the issue is resolved.
