Fix 4: Delete Files in SoftwareDistribution Folder
- Press Win+ R, type services.msc and hit Enter,
- In the Services Control Panel, find Windows Update Service,
- Right-click on Windows Update and select Stop,
- Now, open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows folder,
- Locate SoftwareDistribution folder and Delete its contents.
Fix 5: Reset Windows Update Components
- Search for CMD on the Windows Search,
- Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator,
- Copy and paste the following commands and hit Enter on each time:

- Restart your PC and try updating your Windows again and see if the problem KB5014666 fails to install remains.
