HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows
Step 3: Once you are in correct path, right-click on ‘Windows’ folder/key in left pane, and select ‘New > Key’ and name the key to ‘WindowsUpdate’
Step 4: Select ‘WindowsUpdate‘ key, right-click on right pane under newly created key, and select ‘DWROD (32-bit) Value’, and name the value to ‘ExcludeWUDriverInQualityUpdate’ and press ‘Enter’
Step 5: Now, double-click on newly created Value to edit, set its value data to ‘1’ and hit ‘Ok’ to save the changes. Once done, cumulative updates will continue to download, but you won’t receive updates for drivers.
Method 3: Disable driver updates Windows 10 through Control Panel
Step 1: Open ‘Control Panel’ in Windows PC via Windows Search Box and go to ‘System and Security > System > Advanced System Settings’
Step 2: Select ‘Hardware’ tab, and hit ‘Device Installation Settings’
Step 3: Choose ‘No (your device might not work as expected)’ option and hit ‘Save Changes’ button to save the changes
